I didn't go too outside, C-Rock. After experimenting some before my first take, it sounded really country (not necessarily bad, but didn't seem to fit). On my last take, I was basically in E minor, a bit of the G major scale (the difference being an F#), then decided to screw it, and just kinda flew by the seat of my pants, which is what i tend to do. Playing in E minor, C minor, or A minor isn't really changing modes per se, because they all have the same notes. But playing in in those positions can lend itself to a different kind of sound without really "going modal." Everything was so overdriven through my headphones, I was mostly playing to the drums anyway, lol. I love the drumming and bass on Hey Joe. I was thinking of using power chords too, to have the option of either major or minor, but it just sounded too weird. So I just kinda stuck with what I do best; wanking away, and hoping for the best. I may give it one more shot to clean up my last track, then give everyone else's a listen. I'm sure it's all interesting. But it was a lot of fun to play my Telly again. After all my Strat talk lately, I remember now why I love Tellys.

Well guys, I thought I would give this a shot. It is really not my style of music that I normally play so take an easy on me. Not much to say just played around in E mostly some bad notes but oh well. SoundClick artist: zognot - page with MP3 music downloads

Ok so I know that I can't hang with the big boys but I wanted to try this out and participate. It was quite fun. I know that at times my timing was off and at times I got a little lost. Just keep in mind I have owned a guitar for 5 weeks. I wanted it to be kinda mellow and easy. I used podfarm with a simple setup of a Tweed Bassman, Compressor, and Hall reverb. I pretty much tried to stay in C minor pent. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8726589

I think I'm done with this jam track, so if I have an opportunity, I'll give everyone else's take a listen. Hopefully this evening.
