Hey all, I've been playing in a band for the past 10 months called DWI. Its an acronym for "Dudes With Instruments." Its been an absolute blast and we finally have a recording that I'm not too afraid to post here. Recording bands is difficult so its taken us a while to get around to it. But here is the link. The song is called "Undertow". I have a few complaints about the recording that most likely you will pick out also, but its pretty damn close to what we were hoping for. I played the mildly out of tune lead part (my guitars intonation is balls) and I sang harmonies on the chorus. The link to our myspace is: DWI on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads Check it out and lemme know what you think! Thanks, Stack

When I saw your name under the picture of the other guitarist, I thought you had grown long hair. It kinda freaked me out for a second. Anyways, the song wasn't really my cup of tea, but I do think you guys did a great job for that style of music. Also, your recording quality is pretty kickass. Nicely done.

Thanks for listening guys. My hair is actually gettin pretty shaggy these days. Anyways, this is just one of our many sounds. This is probably our darkest tune as its written about substance abuse. We will be recording more so I will keep you posted whenever we put other things up.

Did you record the whole band together or individually?

Nothing about that made me think Creed at all. The only band I could think of that it reminded me of was AIC. Even the way the singer pronounced a lot of words sounded like he was trying to copy Layne Staley. I'm not saying that's a bad thing either! I love AIC. I thought it sounded great Stack! Thanks for sharing! |
