How does the actual mix sound? What needs to be done?

I've listened a couple of more times and really like it. It reminds me of something the DIxie Dreggs would do. Mix wise, and I'm no expert the only thing I would even consider tweeking is the lead guitar sound could punch through a little more some how. Maybe more high mid or less low mid or something. Then again it may be my 48year old ears loosing there high frequency response.

Nice work! +1

Mix wise, I can't hear any issues. Bringing your lead guitar out a bit might not hurt, but I think it sounds rather good as is.

Thanks Guys, I really appreciate it.

I am a member of 7 different guitar forums, and a few songwriting forums. It is amazing how different the opinions are on the forums.

People say that it sounds like Rush, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani etc., and some say that it totally sucks. I can play fast when I want to, but I don't want to play a bunch of Neo-classical runs and make a song out of them anymore. I used to want to be a speed demon, but I would rather focus on string skipping and bending now.

Some guys hate my guitar sound and some love it. I am still trying to find my sound. I think that I am getting closer every day.

Thanks again for your feedback!

Dude, you have your sound, and chops. Just run with what ya got. I like that "round" tone, as well as the round tone with a bit of edge to it; I think you used a fuzz for that. Whatever, trust your instincts. You have what it takes. Ya can't please everyone. fwiw, everything you've put up here has rocked imo.

Thanks!

I actually didn't mean to record the rhythm guitar using the Fuzz Face. About 3/4 of the way through the song, I noticed that it was on. It has no light on it. I used a Plexitube Driver on the rhythm along with the Fuzz Face. It had a strange sound, so I just went with it.
