I am not familiar with the pocket pod, I have a toneport by line 6. But honestly I think the whole debacle with the software and such was under the pretense that you were able to use USB. If you are using the Pocketpods 1/8" output, then you may not even need line 6 software unless you are able to use farmpod, or gearbox (which is pretty much the best modeling amp ever). ( need another opinion on this)

Getting off on a tangent though. This is why I don't use Linux and neither should anyone else. I ran Ubuntu before and it was awesome but you run into problems like this. Point is that if you want the happy ending you have to do the dance.
Yep, that's where all the confusion was coming from but atleast that's cleared up now.
