Make some kind of plate that fits inside the hole to cover up the wire and protect it, preferably white. Then fill the cavity with epoxy resin half way up. let it set then drop in a scorpion! fill the rest of the way with epoxy resin. sand smooth and polish.

I honestly thought of something similar, but with a goldfish. Then there's the problem of water, and keeping the goldfish alive. I like your idea better.
