Lefty Louie Just getting started
Default Newbie here

Guys/girls, thanks for being here for me/us.

Me, mid 50's male who started playing guitar (if you can call it that) back in HS and when life got in the way at 18 I stopped. Recently picked her up again and to my amazement I remembered some of what I used to know.

I hooked up with another guy in a similar circumstance and we've been playing some easy songs to see if we can mesh, we've got a few songs down pretty good, just things like "Then he kissed me", "Norwegian wood", "Leaving on a jet plane" etc. My likes run from easy listening to R&R, my skill set however is more easy, easy and easier. (I figure it will improve)

I'm from north Jersey if it matters to anyone.

Again, thanks for being here and I hope my questions don't bore you all. I'll list my equipment in another sub forum.

Hi Louie, Thanks for joining.

Easy, simpler songs can go over well with live audiences.

Mainly learned them to gain confidence, but they are also fun songs with catchy lyrics.

No, none of that type stuff, would love to listen in and see how that works but I'm not up to speed yet on that stuff.

You could record with your phone & post recordings. It's not the best, but it's a start.
