Instead of a new thread I'll just ask here since mosy of the people I know are alreafy in the thread.

My initial plan was to dye a black burst on the edges with an Aniline dye. I have a few router marks and such around the sides that I would like to cover up. I want a dark side and only about 1 inch burst. Anyone have a better way? Anything I should reasearch? Going for a glossy poly finish.

I have been practicing with a water based aniline dye which seems like it would be fantastic for a subtle sunburst but no matter how thick I mix it, the black seems to be a grey.
