You could have gone to a local Duane Reade and bought a diamond file for about a buck. That's what I use on my nails, and fret edges.
There is no local Duane Reade outside of NYC.

Liars! https://www.yelp.com/search?find_des...=Chicago%2C+IL

Look what I found for about $5.86: https://www.amazon.com/Domybest-Crow...fret+edge+file

The description could use some work, but I'm reasonably sure a fret file is in there. I wouldn't use half the stuff in there, but just having the fret file might be worth it.

I'm not in Chicago. I'm in the burbs where we chase cows in summer.

The Amazon looks great! I'll try to cancel my eBay order from Hong Kong .

Forget it. It'll take a month for your email to get there. Then your wife will make you sleep in the park.

Cancelled the order. Luckily didn't take a month!

Ordered fret files like the one you posted from Amazon, fretboard protectors, and a ruler gauge all for $5 + a few cents! Its arriving in a month, or two, maybe more. Don't care. School already started so I won't have time anyway.

You canceled an order from China, so Amazon could fulfill your order from China?

At least you won't have to sleep in your car.
