Yep, I've worn out a welcome or two, and tossed a farewell or two out to members. Usually the culprit was not bad playing but bad acting, girlfriend or wife drama, playing on drugs, remember the "I'm so much better when I'm high"?? angle, no, you're not.

Bands come and go, I've come and gone myself due to drama. I don't have time or energy for a band anymore, pity, I still love to play with folks.

It will always seem personal, but its the nature of the beast. Being bumped out, replaced, fired for no reason, stolen by another band, whatever happens is just the way the music industry works. Put your big boy pants on, learn to play better than the others, and go with the flow. If you don't, you'll just end up being bitter.
