Default High pitch squeal

A mate has suddenly developed a high pitched whistling noise on his pedal board.
Any ideas how that can happen ?
Could it be a battery in a pedal that has died ??

Any suggestions for the cause ?

A board like a bunch of stomp boxes all in a row?
Remove one at a time till the culprit is found?

So any and all combos still squeal? Can't be a power issue with one of them then.
Ground?
Is amp in same outlet ?
Yes like slim said, have another amp to try?
Wait is is squealing though the amp or just making noise on it's own sitting there?

EDIT Not sure if it will help or not but I would replace every battery if they are being used, and try changing guitar chords.

I agree. I have always found the Eb to be a bit squealy myself. I think an A chord would solve it.

Don't mind me.
