Schecter is one of those brands that makes a good instrument but doesn't have a high resale value. A seller's misfortune is a buyer's good fortune.

Other good used choices in this category would be G&L (Legacy/ASAT) and Musicman. Great guitars that you can pick up at a 60% discount by purchasing used because they don't have "Fender" on the headstock, despite being designed by Leo.
