Default Favorite Covers?

I've been really enjoying cover songs lately. My fav. ever has and always be anything by Richard Cheese, but i've been loving on all sorts of covers.

Here is the latest favorite:




Soo it doesn't have to be too off kilter. Although the mixing of genres for covers is always fun.

Playing 'em or just listening?

For Listening, Phil and Dave Alvin have always been able to cook up some great covers. Here's one from their latest: Common Ground.



For Playing, I don't why but I've been on a real Flamin' Groovies kick lately - anything from Shake Some Action or Teenage Head in particular. Some of these tunes I've played for years, but now going deeper into the catalog. Working on this one last night:
