Default violin lessons

Soo I finally feel in the groove of my financial situation to spring for violin lessons. Starting wednesday with a gal about my age who lives around the corner. Excited - haven't had a music lesson in a long time. It'll be interesting to detrain all the messed up technique i have undoubtedly established.

Thanks y'all. She seems like a great teacher and just the one lesson is helping with technique. Always fun to be learning.

Yup, here will probably be the first place to hear me play besides my poor neighbors.

That's awesome. I've been thinking about piano/keys lessons

You should do it man. I'm always amazed how much a teacher really can help. My technique is already improving a lot. I'd love to do more piano one day - one instrument at a time though.

I'm Jonesin' for a Roland FA. I'm not sure how far I'll have to go to find a non-gospel oriented teacher though.

Rather than wait, I've been playing a bit everyday, doing chord shapes/scales/inversions and such. I have a coupla books I've had for years, but never opened, to get me started.

I'm hooked.
