Default NYE gig

I've got one last gig on New Year's Eve before closing the books on 2017. We've been playing this one for 8 or 9 years now. It's one of these "First Night" events that many cities (US) have. Attendees pay $20 or whatever for a wristband that grants admission to 30 different venues within walking distance with 50 or so bands. It's fairly family friendly. They do sell drinks, but it's not a total drunken bash. We play three 30-minute sets (alternating with another band) and are out of there by 10:30. Sound/stage/lights all contracted out by the organizer. I'm home in time to watch the festivities in Times Square on television and bang pots and pans in the street.

Year in review: 54 gigs...12 with the rock band, 34 with the country band, and 8 solo.
