Default Been rehearsing and soon about to gig!

So maybe a few of you might remember me talking about joining a band that needed a guitarist. I have been playing with them and rehearsing a lot. At the moment we have a set of about 5-6 original songs down that the singer/guitarist has written. They are a few years older then me and have more experience, so thats mainly why I thought it would be a good learning experience. Im 18 and they are 21-23. My dream is still to play my own songs that im writing, but im enjoying this band aswell! The songs are classic rock / hard rock, whilst my songs I write are more indierock/alternative rock/ hard rock.

Anyway... We have a few gigs lined up, first one in a few weeks. Its gonna be fun, and a good learning experience. Im a tad nervous, but I think its gonna go well.

That's awesome!!! You'll do great! Any playing you do in a group setting is a learning experience.

Is this the band that was going on the road?

Keep us posted.

Haha I hope so and yeah its definately a good experience!

Yeah this is the same band! They have quite high ambitions, which I like, but right now im kinda stressed. Lots of school work as im in my last year + rehearsing 2-4 times a week + playing with my brother and cousin playing the songs we write. Mostly songs I write. Its a lot going on. But im for sure not bored !!

Remember to bring a spare instrument cable and extra strings.
