Post Surf instrumental music ressources

Hi!!

I am new here!
I am interested in learning some of the guitar techniques used by bands like "ventures" "apaches" and that kind of old-school surf instrumental music.

Do you know how to find the propper learning materials for this?

THX a lot and sorry for my grammar mistakes - I am not a native speaker

Welcome. IMO, you basically need reverb on your amp. Youtube is full of tutorials:

Or, you can search for, "how to get the surf sound."

Thanks!

I watched a lot of those tutorials =)
I mean like structured lessons., with a list of the techniques and scalas and that kind of stuff. I am more interested in the scalas =)

I combine a reverb (mxr) with a distortion pedal (just a bit).

THX!

Well, for surf, they use mostly major or minor scales. The only technique I can think of, is maybe tremolo picking which is used in that Link Wray tune...Misha..something...no, Dick Dale https://youtu.be/KLxqm7ey4Nw

I think he's using a phrygian dominant scale.
