Default Frosty the Snowman

Busy morning at Squid Studios . Squidlet #2 played Frosty the Snowman at his recital on Friday. On this, I accompanied him on my acoustic. We used my new MXL condenser mic to record. It works much better than my shure mic for this.

Hey cool, man he's better than a few weeks ago when you posted one, fast improvement! I even heard a little vibrato on a note in there! He did great, you guys did great!
That must be so cool to be able to jam with your kids and have them be interested in music, very cool!

I want to come record at Squid Studios !! It sounds like an up & coming "Wrecking Crew" is forming in your household. A reference from the Netflix doc The Wrecking Crew in case you have not seen it.

Squidlet #2 sounds great playing Frosty & his accompaniment is not bad either
Like, Ron, I hear improvement already too, Great Job !!!!

Thanks you guys!!

OMG, that family portrait is hysterical!!! Love it!!

"Squid Studios"...that just came to me as I was writing the summary. Funny how stuff can evolve from a silly internet user name .

Alex is at the point where he plays because he likes to play. I think that's why he's improving so well. He's looking up on youtube how to do vibrato...his teacher hasn't even touched on the topic with him yet. I thought he did that by accident. When I asked him about it he said "no, I put that there on purpose". Alrighty then!!

Jamming with them is fun, but the real joy for me is seeing them get the bug for music.

Really cool Squid. I tried and failed to get my daughters to play. So this is great to see. you must feel chuffed. Still finding he's feet. But I am still finding my feet at 54. watch this space. You will be able to play some great music together. There is a song called where we start by dave Gilmour. Where they use a orchestra. As Davids second solo starts at 5.22 secs in. notice the violins and how they blend with the guitar. Its a joy to behold. Hey, might be worth showing your son to see if he likes the sound. Once you notice the blues theres no going back. Good playing
