Default Speaker Cabinets

Whos made their own? I will soon be constructing a 1x12 , ( i have competent woodworking skills) and i want to know about wood types ect.. I want a ballsy punchy sound and while the wood can only do so much, i'm sure i can solicit a few tips off of you guys

I'm actually about to make one myself. I'm doing a 2x12 that is convertible from open back to closed back. Everything I've read said to use birch so that's what I'm using. I've seen people make them other woods but weight is something I'm concerned about so I'll stick with birch.

13 ply baltic birch is the standard for good cabs.

I have used Marine Plywood and got great results .I used Leather or Pleather for covering .I add wheels if it is Real Large. Good luck Brother...Any Plwood will work I have used pressed Sawdust Partical board but i rather use real wood...

Baltic Birch is the best wood you could use in my opinion.

I built a 2x10 cab out of pressboard that turned out pretty good.





Don't mind the screws, they were just temp at the time.
