Ah ok, that does sound more like something maybe over falsely overheating, like a chip maybe. If it came back on it's own, it would have sounded like just a cold solder joint, which would make sense since it's older. It still could be, on a gate or something. but as cheap as some new amps are now, and as cool as they sound, a new amp would be not only easier, but the funnest solution
