Default STOP EMAILING ME

I don't know what's going on, but I keep getting notifications in my email (my actual email, not my private forum messages) every time someone responds to a "subscribed thread." I have tried editing my options so that no emails are sent, so that I have no subscribed threads, and so that I do not receive email from administrators, but none of these have done the trick. I have never received emails like this since signing up, so I don't really know what's going on. Any ideas?

Did you unsubscribe from all of the threads that you are/were subscribed to? Other than that, everything looked fine in your settings.

btw, there was no need to yell.

edit: I just saw that you still had 120 threads that you were subscribed to. I cleared all of your subscriptions (within the past year), so you shouldn't get any notifications now. If you do, I'll go back further than a year.

Well, I had six today from the forum, but I guess that could be before you cleared it or whatever.

It's just weird because I've never knowingly "subscribed" to any thread, nor have I ever gotten emails like this before...and I was away for a few days, so I didn't even have the opportunity to change my own settings to anything different. I don't know why the forum is deciding I need email notifications all of a sudden.

I had the same problem with HC and their forum. I had to block their domain name on my email account because I could not get the site to accept changes to my account.

Oddly enough, I tried when I first joined to get notifications on subscribed threads but never received any emails about new posts.

When you comment any thread, you are automatically subscribed.

Interesting, then, how the emails I receive are only for two or three threads, one of which I probably posted something in a few months ago and haven't looked at since.

I have it so that it's automatically set to subscribe to thread, but with no notifications. However, several months went past, after starting the forum, before I changed this.

@ earthman... check your User CP to make sure that you are not subscribed to any threads. If you are, unsubscribe to them. Once you have done this, then come back and let me know if you're still having the problem, and specifically what threads you are receiving notifications from.

edit: I didn't do it right earlier, so I just went back and unsubscribed you from 900 some odd more threads. Hopefully that should do the trick. This is still something you could/should have done yourself.
